How many square feet is one guntha in Bengaluru?
1 guntha is 1,089 sq ft, which is 1/40 of an acre. Karnataka land records use this value across the state, including Bengaluru.
What is loading in an apartment?
Loading is the share of common areas (lobbies, lifts, stairs, clubhouse) added to your flat's carpet area to arrive at the super built-up area. In Indian apartments it is often 25–35%, and higher in projects with large amenities.
Which area should I compare between projects?
Carpet area, the usable floor inside your walls. Under RERA, builders must state the carpet area, so compare price per sq ft of carpet area to see the real difference between projects.
Is a ground the same everywhere?
A ground is 2,400 sq ft. It is used mainly in Chennai and parts of Tamil Nadu, and you may see it in older documents for land near the state border.
