We were first-time buyers and had no idea what questions to ask. Our advisor sat with us for an hour and explained the cost sheet line by line, including the charges builders don't put in the ads. We ended up spending a little less than we'd planned, which almost never happens.
I read every document twice, that's just my job. What surprised me was that the Skyros team had already flagged the same clauses I was going to ask about. They didn't rush the booking even when the builder's offer was ending that weekend.
We bought from Dubai without flying down until registration. Video walkthroughs of the site, a call with the bank and regular photos of construction progress. My parents visited once on our behalf and the advisor took them around personally.
I had very little time between shifts, so I appreciated that they shortlisted only three projects instead of sending me twenty links. Each one came with a short note on why it suited us and what the catch was.
My son lives abroad and I was handling this alone. The team was patient with me, explained the loan and registration in Tamil when I asked, and someone came along on the registration day. I felt looked after.
Straight talk, which I liked. When I asked about a project I'd seen on Instagram, they told me honestly that its approvals were still pending and showed me two alternatives. I bought one of those.
Moving to Bengaluru from Delhi, I didn't know the areas at all. They mapped my office commute against each shortlisted project, and that alone saved me from a very bad choice. The whole process took about six weeks.
We'd been looking on our own for almost a year and were tired of sales calls. With Skyros it felt different: one person, one WhatsApp group, and clear answers. Possession timelines were explained honestly, not just the brochure date.
Being in banking, I knew the loan side well, but the negotiation is where they really helped. They got the builder to include the car park and waive a part of the floor rise charge. Small things that added up.
As an architect I'm picky about layouts. My advisor didn't pretend to know more than me; instead they arranged a meeting with the builder's design team so I could ask my questions directly. That's rare.
